Hi.  My love for art began in high school.  I had a teacher who pushed me to do my best and bring out the God given abilities I didn't know I had.  I have been  teaching art classes to kids since I graduated from Purdue University.  My students enjoy learning with a wide variety of media including pencil, pen & ink, acrylic painting, ceramics, etc.  I enjoy helping them with 4-H projects and love seeing them improve their talents with each project.

I enjoy painting canvas but really like painting on different things such as saw blades, wood, baskets, glass, etc.  For several years I have been hand painting scenes, homes, and pets from photographs on Christmas ornaments.  It started small but by word of mouth from happy customers I am kept busy in the late fall painting special, one of a kind gifts for Christmas presents.  I have just begun painting on  turkey feathers.  These beautiful feathers make a great 'canvas' with natural coloring and rustic look. 

I like a good challenge and painting on small feathers and ornaments is truely that.  I love to do special orders, custom artwork, that is personal to the individuals.  Check out photos of some of the artwork I have done in the past and if you are interested, give me a shout.  I would love to work with you to create a special, one of a kind artpiece that you would cherish.
